The Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) is an international commission established to conserve Antarctic marine life. It operates under a unique ecosystem-based management approach that permits sustainable harvesting while taking careful account of the effects of fishing on other components of the ecosystem.
