Codex Alimentarius Commission

The Codex Alimentarius Commission is an intergovernmental body jointly established by the U.N.'s FAO and WHO to set international food standards. The commission's standards cover a wide range of issues, from food additives and hygiene to pesticide residues, which serve as a reference for international food trade and help protect consumer health worldwide.
