E.U. Charter of Fundamental Rights

The E.U. Charter of Fundamental Rights is a legal document that enshrines a wide range of human rights for citizens and residents of the E.U.. It was proclaimed in 2000 and became legally binding with the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon in December 2009.
