Global early warnings surge, but funding lags for universal protection
Some 119 nations have a coordinated system to warn about impending natural dangers, up from 56 nations a decade ago.
Early Warnings for All (EW4All) is a U.N. initiative that aims to ensure every person on Earth is protected from climate disasters by early warning systems. The initiative, co-led by the WMO, has a goal of providing such coverage by the end of 2027.
