A global task force to fight online extremism announced it will become an independent watchdog organization.
The Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism is an independent non-profit organization that works to prevent terrorists and violent extremists from exploiting digital platforms. Founded by leading tech companies, it manages a database that allows its members to share digital fingerprints of known terrorist and extremist content to stop its spread.
