Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Myanmar

The Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Myanmar was a U.N. commission established by the Human Rights Council in 2017. Its mandate was to investigate and document gross human rights violations and abuses in the nation, particularly the atrocities committed against the Rohingya Muslim minority. The mission's reports provided evidence of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide, which have been used to support international legal proceedings.
