Insured Letters Agreement

The Insured Letters Agreement was a postal convention under the U.N.'s Universal Postal Union (UPU). It established the rules for sending insured letters internationally, providing a secure method for transmitting valuable items and guaranteeing financial compensation to the sender in case of loss, theft, or damage. Its provisions have since been integrated into the current Universal Postal Convention.
