Internationally Protected Persons Convention (IPP)

The Internationally Protected Persons Convention (IPP) is a 1973 U.N. treaty that requires nations to criminalize and prosecute attacks against certain officials. It defines "internationally protected persons" as heads of state, government ministers, diplomats, and other official representatives temporarily in a foreign nation.
