Nihon Hidankyo, the Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations, is a national group of Hibakusha (atomic bomb survivors). Founded in 1956, it was awarded the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize for its decades-long efforts to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons by sharing the firsthand testimony of its members.
