Ahmad al-Sharaa, Syria’s interim president, addressed the U.N. General Assembly, marking the first time a Syrian head of state has spoken at the annual gathering in nearly six decades.

The address, delivered following the collapse of the Assad government, focused on the new administration's agenda of political reform, national rebuilding, and economic development.
