American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)

The American Civil Liberties Union is a non-profit civil rights organization dedicated to defending individual rights and freedoms guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Since its founding in 1920, the ACLU has been involved in landmark Supreme Court cases that have helped shape constitutional law, from the Scopes Trial to the legalization of marriage equality.
