IAEA and ASEAN agree to work on developing nuclear technology
IAEA will collaborate with ASEAN's 10 nations on a framework for developing nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
ASEAN
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations is a regional intergovernmental organization that promotes cooperation on economic, security, and political issues. Established in 1967, it has 10 members and is a central forum for regional dialogue. Timor-Leste is expected to become its 11th member in October 2025.
