Congress of Vienna

The Congress of Vienna was a series of diplomatic meetings held from 1814-1815 to address issues following the Napoleonic Wars. The primary goal of the conference was to establish a new balance of power in Europe that would prevent future large-scale conflicts for nearly a century.
