
ILO child labor treaty gains universal backing
The ILO said a two decade-old convention outlawing the worst forces of child labor has gained universal ratification among all of its 187 member nations.
The Global March Against Child Labor is an international movement and network that works to eliminate child labor and ensure all children have access to education. Founded by Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi, it originated from a historic 1998 march that mobilized over 7 million people and led directly to the adoption of a key U.N. convention.
