
U.N. investigator takes charge at Amnesty
Amnesty International named Agnès Callamard as its new secretary general, tapping a veteran human rights investigator to lead a 60-year-old organization.
Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP) International was a self-regulatory body for humanitarian organizations, focusing on accountability to those affected by crises. It created the HAP Standard for quality management in humanitarian action and certified member organizations. HAP's work has now been succeeded by the CHS Alliance, a major initiative to ensure quality and accountability in the aid sector.
