The International Arctic Science Committee is a non-governmental, international scientific organization founded in 1990. It promotes and coordinates interdisciplinary Arctic research, encouraging international cooperation among the world’s leading polar scientists to foster a greater understanding of the Arctic region and its role in the global climate system.
