WMO points to destructive loop of climate change and air pollution

The global economy faces a devastating new threat from a "vicious cycle" of air pollution and climate change, a new report from the World Meteorological Organization shows.

The U.N. weather agency's annual WMO Air Quality and Climate Bulletin on Friday highlights how pollutants from fossil fuel burning create a feedback loop where a warming climate leads to more pollution, which in turn, contributes to more warming.
