GENEVA (AN) — A record 383 humanitarian aid workers were killed in global conflicts in 2024, the U.N. reported, with nearly half of the deaths occurring in Gaza.

The devastating increase reported on Tuesday by the U.N. humanitarian office to coincide with the annual World Humanitarian Day, was driven primarily by the wars in Gaza and Sudan.
