Houthis detain U.N. staffers, escalating tensions in Yemen

Houthi rebels raided offices of several United Nations agencies in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, and detained at least 11 U.N. personnel.

The raids on Sunday are a significant escalation in a long-running crackdown against international organizations. The affected agencies include the World Food Program, UNICEF, and the World Health Organization.
