Houthi rebels raided the offices of several U.N. agencies in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, and detained 19 U.N. personnel, a higher number than originally reported.
The incidents follow a pattern of Houthi aggression toward aid workers. Dozens of U.N. staffers have been detained in recent years, with U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric saying on Wednesday that the Houthis detained 18 Yemeni staffers and one international employee.
