Killings of Al Jazeera journalists in Gaza spark outrage, condemnation

An Israeli airstrike has killed five staff members from the Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera, including prominent correspondent Anas al-Sharif, in a targeted attack near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

The International Federation of Journalists and its affiliate, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate, on Monday condemned the attack, with IFJ General Secretary Anthony Bellanger denouncing the deliberate targeting of journalists as a "war crime."
