Killings of six more journalists in Gaza spark outrage, condemnation

International Federation of Journalists' general secretary denounced deliberate targeting of journalists as a "war crime."

An Israeli airstrike killed five staff members from the Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera, including prominent correspondent Anas al-Sharif, and a local freelance reporter in a targeted attack near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

The International Federation of Journalists and its affiliate, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate, on Monday condemned the attack, with IFJ General Secretary Anthony Bellanger denouncing the deliberate targeting of journalists as a "war crime."
