Two Ukrainian advocacy groups are raising awareness for children abducted from Ukraine by Russia during the war.
The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine is a fact-finding body established by the U.N. Human Rights Council in 2022. Its mandate is to investigate all alleged violations of human rights and international humanitarian law committed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, with the goal of holding perpetrators accountable. The commission collects and analyzes evidence to inform its reports to the U.N.
