The brazen actions of some world leaders are meant to kill international cooperation, U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres warned in his final annual priorities speech to the General Assembly.

Nearing the end of his second five-year term at the helm of the world body, Guterres on Thursday condemned a global drift toward lawlessness and fiscal insolvency in a world of big power plays that almost paralyze the United Nations.
