The 16th session of the U.N. Conference on Trade and Development convened in Geneva, kicking off four days of meetings at the Palais des Nations, with leaders aiming to re-engineer global trade policy.

As the highest decision-making body for U.N. Trade and Development, the quadrennial conference opened on Monday to set the organization’s mandate and global policy responses for the coming years.
