U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz gave a blunt ultimatum to Tehran at an emergency U.N. Security Council session, labeling the U.S. president a "man of action" who will not tolerate more violence against Iranians.

The session, convened by the U.S. on Thursday, highlighted a sharp escalation in tensions as the death toll from nationwide protests continues to climb. "He will not – nor should the international community – tolerate innocents being slaughtered in the streets," Waltz said, referring to President Donald Trump.
