Survey finds online violence against women on the rise boosted by AI

GENEVA (AN) — The rapid adoption of artificial intelligence amplifies online violence and offline harm against women in public life that threatens democratic participation, a new study concludes.

The study on Tuesday from U.N. Women and partner organizations concludes that online violence against women is at a tipping point: once thought of as a contained and non-physical problem, it has fundamentally shifted to become a global, interconnected and physically dangerous crisis.
