Probe of WEF founder nears end as organization charts path in turmoil

While the board has said the allegations remain unproven, the investigation is the focal point of an internal power struggle.

GENEVA (AN) — The fierce public dispute between Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, and its governing board is nearing a potential turning point as a long-awaited external investigation into allegations of misconduct against him is expected to conclude this month.

The probe, launched by the board in April, followed Schwab’s sudden resignation after an anonymous whistleblower letter accused him of financial impropriety and ethical breaches.
