Ukraine’s first lady presses Davos leaders for Western aid

Zelenska, whose nation has now been at war with Ukraine for nearly a war, said it's outrageous that Russia's aggression can lead to thousands of civilians killed, millions of people displaced and disruptions to global food and energy supplies.

DAVOS, Switzerland (AN) — Olena Zelenska, the wife of Ukraine's President Zelenskyy, and other leaders appealed to the World Economic Forum's political and business elites to support her nation as a fresh wave of Russian attacks on civilians and infrastructure make for a brutal winter.

Zelenska took the podium on Tuesday, the forum's first full day, to deliver a "special message" to the thousands of government leaders and officials, business executives and others spending the week at the posh gathering in the Swiss mountain resort.
