U.S. and Iran hold third round of indirect nuclear talks to avoid war

Oman’s foreign minister, who was mediating the urgent talks, said the sides were 'exchanging creative and positive ideas.'

GENEVA (AN) — Officials from the United States and Iran reported some progress in their last-ditch nuclear talks that could determine whether the sides go to war, according to Oman's government, which is mediating.

Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi said on Thursday the two countries paused discussions, the third such round of indirect talks, so they could confer with their capitals. International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi also took part.
