GENEVA (AN) — Women-led organizations operating on the front lines of the world's humanitarian crises are being forced to cut services at a time of rising need, leaving millions of women and girls at greater risk of violence, displacement and loss of basic support, according to a new report from U.N. Women.

The report on Friday, based on responses from 855 women's organizations across 52 crisis- and conflict-affected countries, shows the impact of shrinking humanitarian funding on groups that often serve as the first and last source of assistance for women and girls in emergencies.
