Global climate policies are dangerously off track, according to U.N. Climate Change's new analysis that shows nations are delivering just a fraction of the carbon emission cuts needed to keep our planet from overheating.

The analysis released on Tuesday, one of a flurry of climate reports in the runup to next month's U.N. climate summit at Belém, Brazil, confirms that the latest climate commitments from nations are fundamentally misaligned with the Paris Agreement's most fundamental goal.
