Pandemic treaty talks extended over sticking point on pathogen sharing

Negotiators failed to reach a final agreement on the crux issue of creating a binding system for the sharing of pathogens and benefits as a week of intensive talks on the WHO's Pandemic Agreement drew to a close.

WHO's Intergovernmental Working Group was wrapping up its fourth round of talks on the pandemic treaty on Friday, focusing on creating an annex for the pathogen access and benefit sharing system, called PABS.
