Group of 77 (G-77)

The Group of 77 is the largest intergovernmental coalition of developing countries within the U.N. system. Founded in 1964, the group's purpose is to promote its members' collective economic interests, enhance their negotiating capacity on international issues, and foster cooperation among "South" countries. Its members work together to address issues from trade to climate change and poverty reduction.
