Trump dismisses evidence on Khashoggi killing, secures $1 trillion

A U.S. intelligence report determined that the crown prince had approved of a plan to "capture or kill" Khashoggi.

WASHINGTON (AN) — Contradicting U.N. experts and U.S. intelligence, U.S. President Donald Trump said Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler is not responsible for killing Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.

"Things happen," Trump told reporters on Tuesday during a White House visit by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who promised to raise investments in the U.S. from $600 billion to almost $1 trillion.
