Six United Nations peacekeepers from Bangladesh were killed and eight others were injured when a drone struck their logistics camp in Kadugli, the capital of Sudan's South Kordofan region, according to authorities.

The U.N. Interim Security Force for Abyei, UNISFA, confirmed the casualties on Saturday, with four of the injured in serious condition. Bangladesh’s interim leader, Muhammad Yunus, put the toll at six dead and eight wounded, and asked the U.N. to ensure his country's personnel were offered "any necessary emergency support."
