Global patent filings jump 5% to record high, trademarks stabilize

GENEVA (AN) — Global intellectual property activity were highly robust in 2024, with patent applications and industrial design filings reaching record highs, the World Intellectual Property Organization reported.

The data released on Wednesday provides a comprehensive picture of IP use across approximately 150 national and regional IP offices worldwide.
