ICC leaders slam latest U.S. sanctions as ‘escalation’ of attacks

This marks the fourth round of measures this year under U.S. President Donald Trump's executive order in February.

WASHINGTON (AN) — The U.S. expanded its sanctions on the International Criminal Court, blacklisting judges Gocha Lordkipanidze and Erdenebalsuren Damdin for their roles in investigations of Israeli officials.

The move on Thursday marks the fourth round of measures this year under U.S. President Donald Trump's executive order in February. The U.S. has now sanctioned 11 ICC officials, including Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan and two deputy prosecutors, effectively targeting leadership.
