Trade ministers ended the World Trade Organization’s 14th Ministerial Conference without agreement to extend the body’s long-running moratorium on customs duties for electronic transmissions.

The outcome on early Monday morning in the Cameroonian capital Yaoundé exposed deep divisions over digital trade and left one of the few enduring pillars of WTO e-commerce policy to lapse.
