IAEA inspectors return to Iran amid nuclear dispute, sanctions deadline

Discussions on broader access for IAEA inspectors are underway, but an agreement has not yet been reached.

Inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency have returned to Iran, marking the first on-the-ground monitoring activities since Israeli and U.S. attacks targeted Iranian nuclear facilities.

The development, confirmed by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi on Wednesday, came as a critical deadline at the end of this month looms for potential renewed international sanctions against Tehran.
