WASHINGTON (AN) — U.S. President Donald Trump has linked future U.S. sanctions on Russia to a series of conditions for NATO allies, demanding that member nations cease all Russian oil purchases and collectively impose tariffs on China.

This move, described by some as an ultimatum, coincides with senior U.S. officials pressing for a unified economic front during a recent conference call with finance ministers from the Group of Seven, which includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the U.S. and U.K. The European Union is also represented at G-7 meetings.
