GENEVA (AN) — International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said the agency is preparing to begin technical discussions with the United States and Iran following the signing of a U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding, as attention shifts from diplomacy to the mechanics of implementing a nuclear agreement.

"I think it's good when an agreement is signed after war," Grossi told a press conference on Thursday. "The indispensable role of the IAEA is recognized as a sound point of departure.
