Grossi calls for 'a dose of realism' as U.N. faces a crisis of confidence

The IAEA chief argued that authority, credibility and practical results will determine the future of multilateral institutions.

GENEVA (AN) — International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi argued that multilateral organizations remain indispensable but must prove their value in a world where governments increasingly negotiate major conflicts outside established international frameworks.

Speaking at the Geneva Graduate Institute, where he earned his doctorate, Grossi said on Thursday that international organizations retain a unique role but must adapt to changing political realities and rebuild trust with governments.
