U.S. moves to 'systematically disable' ICC in major escalation against court

U.S. State Department says no diplomatic option is off limits as Washington pressures countries to reject the court's authority.

WASHINGTON (AN) — The Trump administration has launched what it describes as a "whole-of-government" campaign to weaken the International Criminal Court.

The campaign announced on Monday marks a sharp escalation in Washington's long-running opposition to the Hague-based tribunal and could put Washington on a collision course with many U.S. allies that support it.
