The Trump administration's new national security strategy frames the work of multilateral institutions as a potential threat to U.S. sovereignty.

U.S. President Donald Trump's administration on Friday called for fighting against the "outside interference" of these institutions. This comes despite the historic U.S. role as host and a founding member of the United Nations.
